The mission of the Tutoring & Transitions Center at Southeast Community College is to provide a supportive, welcoming environment for improving student success and retention by offering academic support to students in the following ways:
- Providing clarification of instructions, information and concepts concerning students' assignment(s)
- Increasing student's subject-specific competencies
- Promoting independent learning strategies to boost student's self-confidence and effective study practices needed to master course content and course competencies.
Please note the following guidelines:
- All SCC students are allowed a maximum of 6 hours of tutoring per week.
- All SCC students are allowed a maximum of 2 hours of tutoring per day.
- All SCC students are allowed a maximum of 3 hours of tutoring per course per week.
